Real Madrid v Manchester United 2003 highlights

Manchester United, the three-time winners of the Champions League, take on nine-time winners Real Madrid this evening.

The last time they met in the second leg of the quarter finals was back in 2003.

The first leg saw Real win 3-1 after two goals from Raul and one from Figo. Ruud van Nistelrooy's efforts in the fifty second minute came too late.

In the second leg Manchester United were triumphant with a 4-3 win at Old Trafford. Beckham scored twice with Nistlerooy and Helguera also finding the back of the net.

But Ronaldo's hatrick proved too much for the reds. The win wasn't enough to see them through.
