Bolton boxer Amir Khan has guaranteed a knockout win in his world title fight in Las Vegas on Saturday. Khan, this week reinstated as WBA light welterweight champion, will take on WBC title holder Danny Garcia in a unification match at the Mandalay Bay Hotel.
And Khan is promising fireworks. "Danny's the first fighter I've fought who is younger than me," he told Granada Reports' Chris Hall. "He's very dangerous and I'm not taking it lightly. But he lacks a bit of experience at a world class level."
"The way he's speaking, he seems pretty confident so I think it will be an electrifying fight. It will be explosive because we are both young, we're both hungry and we both want to win those titles."
The build-up to the fight has intensified in recent weeks after Garcia's father and trainer, Angel Garcia, slammed Khan as overrated.
"He says I'm a nobody and I'm no good," added Khan. "They're trying to get under my skin and I wont let it bother me. But I will question him at the press conference, after I knock his son out, if he still thinks I'm no good."
