Coronation Street stars celebrated with a 5 foot long replica of the street made of cake, as the studio at MediaCity where the soap is filmed is renamed for the its creator Tony Warren.

First Corrie cast photo at new MediaCity home

The cast of Coronation Street have posed for their first official photograph at the show’s new home at MediaCityUK.

The photo has been released as the show has a double celebration, BAFTA success and renaming the new studios the Tony Warren Building.

But the new photo will soon be out of date, as star Michelle Keegan will leave the soap when her character Tina McIntrye is killed off next week.

The show's cast celebrated the naming of the new building with champagne and a five-foot cake in the shape of the street.
