Tributes paid to woman who died in canal
The family of 72-year-old Valerie Pritchard, who died after her car entered the Manchester Ship Canal in Stockton Heath, have paid tribute to her.
Valerie's family said:
"Our Mum, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, Valerie Pritchard was tragically taken from us"
"She was a lovely lady who always had a full social life, meeting with her many friends for coffee mornings, art class and going to her local club to watch Warrington Wolves with her partner."
"She was also a keen gardener and loved to spend time doing craft work. She will be greatly missed by all her family and her partner."
Investigation continues into Warrington canal death
Police are continuing to investigate the death of a woman in Warrington.
The 72-year-old woman's boday was recovered from the Manchester Ship Canal in Stockton Heath.
It is thought she was in her car when it entered the water.
The death is not believed to be suspicious.
