Wallace and Gromit ride opens

The world's first Wallace and Gromit ride has opened at Blackpool Pleasure Beach today.

The ride took 4 years to build and cost £5.25 million.

Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park, who's from Preston, was there to launch the new attraction.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach have teamed up with Nick Park to create the world's first Wallace & Gromit theme park ride.

The family ride called Thrill-O-Matic features all of the characters from the animated adventures, as well as classic scenes from A Close Shave, A Matter of Loaf and Death and the Wrong Trousers.

The indoor attraction consists of carriages that you sit in and is shaped like a giant Wallace slipper.
