Police searching for a missing 18-year-old man have found a body

Teenager Scott McPhee was last seen on Wednesday [August 7] after he left Royal Blackburn Hospital in Blackburn, Lancashire, at around 11pm.

A missing person's appeal was issued two days later on Friday [August 9] with officers appealing to the public for information.

Lancashire Police began searching an area of land adjacent to the hospital and later found the body of a man at around 8.20pm that same day.

They believe it to be Mr McPhee.
