Bus strikes throughout November due to 'inadequate pay'

Over 2,000 bus drivers and engineering staff working for Arriva North West will strike from Monday and throughout November over 'inadequate pay'.

Passengers across the region are set to face disruption to their services next month, after talks over 'inadequate' pay rates broke down yesterday according to union Unite.

Starting with a 24 hour strike on Monday 30 October and followed by further five one-day strikes on November 6, 8,13, 20 and 27 November.

The Arriva bus depots affected are:

  • Birkenhead

  • Bolton

  • Bootle

  • Green Lane (Stoneycroft)

  • Macclesfield

  • Runcorn

  • St Helen's

  • Speke

  • Southport

  • Winsford

  • Wythensawe
