Winter Olympian Aimee Fuller inspires youngsters on North West visit
Winter Olympian Aimee Fuller met up with some of the North West's aspiring winter sports hopefuls on a visit to Manchester's Chill Factore.
Aimee was invited to the venue to celebrate the official reopening of freestyle Ramp Nights following a fresh snow fall.
Team GB athlete Aimee, who was a semi-finalist in the Slopestyle event in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, was joined by Chill Factore’s sponsored athletes who showcased their skills in the freestyle park and received top tips and advice on improving their technique.
Snowboarding since the age of three, Aimee was the first female snowboarder to land a double backflip in competition and this year came first in the British Championships in both the Slopestyle and Big Air categories.
The 25-year old said: “It was awesome to witness the next generation of snow sport athletes in action. These kids are crazy talented and I’m excited to see their careers progress.”
