Video: Moment seagull crashes through helicopter window
This video shows the terrifying moment just after a seagull smashed through a helicopter windscreen over the skies of Bolton, causing the the aircraft to plummet 800ft and captain Phil Robinson to make a mayday call.
Phil, who was training Howard Stott, from Burnley, was able to safely landing at the City Airport in Eccles.
The helicopter was at 1,500ft (457m) and they ended up at 700ft (213m) prompting the emergency call earlier this week.
The bird died and is now in a freezer at the airfield and they plan to stuff it and display it in their club room.
