Clean up under way after heavy rain caused flash flooding

A clean-up operation is underway after heavy rain brought flood waters to parts of Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

Cheshire Police says flood water in Poynton and Disley has subsided after yesterday's flash flooding which closed several roads.

A number of properties were affected but there were no reports of any casualties.

In Greater Manchester, roads were closed in Stockport and Hazel Grove.
