Taxi driver terrified as gang throw brick through window

A cab driver has spoken of the terrifying moment a gang of children hurled rocks at his taxi smashing a front window and his windscreen.

Jacob Aigbekaen was driving his cab down Hollinwood Avenue, in Chadderton, Oldham, when he heard a bang like ‘a shot of a gun’ and saw the passenger window shatter.

The shocked driver jumped out of the Cresta Cars vehicle and immediately called the police.

But when officers left the scene the gang of youngsters returned and hurled another rock at Jacob’s Subaru, smashing the windscreen to pieces.

Jacob, 35, described it as a ‘very frightening’ ordeal and he is now struggling to cover the cost of repairs to his vehicle.

He said: “I was just driving down Hollinwood Avenue when suddenly I heard my glass smash.
