Everton footballer Jenna Dear visits Isle of Man

A professional footballer has been giving advice to girls the Isle of Man for Inspiring Women Week.

Jenna Dear of England U19 and Everton ladies football was greeted at Castle Rushen High School, Castletown last night by young athletes.

The Inspiring Women events are organised by the charitable foundation The Global Community and Sport Foundation and the Isle of Man Football Association.

Amy Beggs-Cairney, Women’s and Girls’ Football Development Officer with the IoM FA, has also visited primary schools with Jenna to talk about their work.

Last night, the Island Senior team played against the Island Under 21s, with the game ending at 1-1

Jenna stayed to watch the showcase match and said she was impressed by the standard of the players.
