A mum is determined to ‘fight’ and challenge the rules after teachers ruled daughter's shoes were 'inappropriate'
A mum has blasted a school’s ‘ridiculous’ uniform policy after claiming her daughter was singled out for wearing this ‘modest’ pair of shoes.
Kasia Kowalska-Trela has challenged St Patrick’s RC High School in Eccles, Salford , after she says 14-year-old Oliwia was pulled up by teachers for the ‘inappropriate’ footwear.
She said her daughter was left to rummage in the school’s lost and found box for a pair of shoes more in keeping with the strict uniform policy.
Kasia says Oliwia was banned from wearing the shoes, threatened with detention - and would have faced further action if she continued to defy the school.
But Kasia, 41, says she’s determined to ‘fight’ and challenge the rules after teachers started weekly uniform ‘inspections’.
She forked out £50 for the shoes only to be told Oliwia can’t wear them.Kasia, from Eccles , said:
