Stars come out in support of Rugby League hero Tony Barrow
Former Rugby League player Tony Barrow says he is overwhelmed by the support he has received since being diagnosed with a brain tumour five weeks ago.
Barrow, aged 43, has a glioblastoma multiforme - an aggressive, grade four brain tumour.
He made his name in the sport as a player for both Swinton and Oldham. Since retiring 14 years ago he has worked as a personal trainer.
This weekend stars from Rugby League past and present will lace up their boots to play in a testimonial match to raise money for Tony's treatment. It will take place at Thatto Heath Rugby League Club on Saturday, July 4th, from 2pm.
Tony spoke to Granada Reports sports correspondent Mike Hall.
