Barrow trio jailed for plot to sexually abuse children

Three people from Barrow have been jailed for their part in plotting to sexually abuse children.

Police were alerted to graphic text messages between Kevin and Susan Barnett and arrested the pair last June. During the investigation officers found graphic text messages between Nikita Moore and Kevin Barnett and she was also arrested.

Kevin Barnett, 28, of Rawlinson Street, Barrow, was sentenced to six years for one count of arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence and two counts of conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a child. He was also sentenced for possession of indecent images.

Susan Barnett, 28, of Barnfield Lane, Barrow, was sentenced to four and a half years for one count of arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence. She was also sentenced for possession of extreme pornography.

Moore, 22, of St Vincent Street, Barrow, was sentenced to four years for two counts of conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a child. She was also sentenced for possession of indecent images.
