One man's final fight against Motor Neurone Disease

A movie following a man in the last stages of his fight against Motor Neurone Disease, is being screened in Cheshire.

Neil Platt was diagnosed with MND in February 2008, and died a year later. He asked family, friends, and a documentary team, to continue to raise awareness of the illness.

The result is the film "I AM BREATHING". Neil faced the final months of his life with humour and honesty shared through a blog. Those posts form the film's narration.

On tonight's Granada Reports we meet a couple from Cheshire, who are also affected by MND. They plan to show the movie in their village.
