Moors Murderer taken to hospital after seizure
Moors Murderer Ian Brady has been taken to Fazackerly hospital after suffering a seizure.
Brady was jailed for murdering three children and burying their bodies on Saddleworth Moor.
Brady has been in the high security psychiatric Ashworth Hospital since 1985, but has now been admitted to a general ward for treatment.
On hunger strike since 1999, Brady is fed by a tube. The murder is not allowed to take his own life as he has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
Brady was due to attend a tribunal on Monday in an effort to be moved to a Scottish prison and allowed to commit suicide.
Ashworth Hospital released the follwing statment:
