Kirk Bradley caught
A man who was part of an underworld gang that left a grenade on Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish's home has been caught.
26 year old Kirk Bradley, from Formby had been wanted since July 2011, after escaping on his way to Liverpool Crown Court.
He and his co-defendant Anthony Downes were sprung after their van left Strangeways in Manchester. Armed and with masks forced the driver to stop and open the doors to the van, screaming: “Get the f** keys out or I will blow your f** head off.”
The pair were facing trial for conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to cause damage with intent to endanger life. But both went on the run. Police finally managed to catch up with Anthony Downes in the Netherlands last month.
Both men were convicted in their absence and sentenced to life, with a minimum of 22 years.
Following this operation a further arrest was made in the early hours of this morning. Raymond Bradley, 45 from Woolton, who was wanted on a European Arrest Warrant for possession of cocaine with intent to supply was arrested in central Amsterdam at 1.12am local time. He has been wanted in the UK since January 2010.
