Senator Philip Ozouf has officially resigned as Minister

Jersey's Chief Minister has confirmed that Senator Philip Ozouf is no longer an Assistant Chief Minister.

Speaking to BBC Radio Jersey Senator Ian Gorst said the politician has sent him a letter offering his resignation from the role.

It's after controversy around the Innovation Fund, which Senator Ozouf was in charge of, which put £1.4m of taxpayers' money at risk.

The Chief Minister will now think about delegating his responsibilities and decide whether there is need for a new Assistant Chief Minster.
