Guernsey flags flown to commemorate Battle of Hastings

Guernsey flags will be flown from public buildings in the island today, marking the anniversary of one of Britain's most famous battles.

It's 950 years since the Battle of Hastings, which started the Norman invasion of Anglo-Saxon England.

Any buildings with more than one mast have also been asked to fly the Union Flag as well, at the request of Guernsey's Bailiff.
