Guernsey's Battle of Flowers commences today

Guernsey's Battle of Flowers Parade is happening today.

It's part of the North Show, which opened yesterday.

Islanders will be competing to win the prestigious 'Prix D'Honneur' award for the best floral float.

Thousands are expected at Sausmarez Park later.

The Battle finishes with the evening illuminated cavalcade and a firework display.
