A Guernsey bee-keeper has expressed her horror at news an Asian Hornet has been found in The Channel Islands.

The insect, which was sited in Alderney, poses a threat to honey bees and other pollinators.

It can also give humans a painful sting.

Ruth Collins, a Beekeeper in Guernsey, says the hornets have wiped out hives in France.
