Jersey special gymnast stars at mainstream event

An athlete from Jersey Special Gymnastics Club has starred for the island in a mainstream international event.

Alex Buesnel, who has autism, won three medals at the Inter Games in Ynys Mon.

The Caesarean - who has won a host of medals for Jersey Special Gymnastics Club over the years - made the step up to the full island team with impressive results.

Buesnel helped the team to a silver medal overall as well as winning an individual silver in the FIG ring competition and bronze on the pommel horse.

The event was organised due to gymnastics being omitted from Jersey 2015, and included eight different islands.
