Alderney Week continues in earnest today after a relaxing start at the weekend.
The Cowboys and Aliens themed event was officially opened by the town crier Robin Whicker on Saturday.
Then dance troupes entertained crowds, while children played on inflatables outside and enjoyed barbecues.
Today will see the start of the main action with the Cavalcade.
This year’s Miss Alderney, Ruby Walker, will head the Cavalcade in her own float. She says she is excited to finally see Alderney Week get underway.

The Cavalcade includes an entry from Aurigny, who have painted an obsolete piece of Trislander with a Joey-style face.
The weekend event coincides with International Pride Month and the 51st anniversary of the Stonewall riots.
The scheme has been backed by the island's Lieutenant-Governor, and is the first of its kind in the Channel Islands.
