Jersey's Brett Pitman has left Bournemouth less than 2 months after they were promoted to the Premier League.

Pitman has signed a three-year-deal to join Ipswich Town who were play-off semi-finalists in the Championship last season.

The move brings to an end the 27-year-old's second spell at the Goldsands Stadium, 11 years after he first moved to the club as a youngster.

The Jerseyman was an influential member of the squad in this year's promotion-winning season, netting 13 league goals, and departs as the fourth highest goal-scorer in the club’s history.
