Condor ask passengers to respect staff

Condor is putting up signs to remind passengers to respect staff.

The sign is being put up wherever staff are in contact with customers

The ferry company says it follows a series of 'unpleasant events' where customers have threatened or been abusive to staff.

It also says they have been 'distressed' to read some comments about individual employees circulating on social media.

Whilst we recognise that customers are fully entitled to complain when our service falls below standard, and we are working hard to improve punctuality, it is clear that some of the comments which have been circulating on social media in particular are, at the very least, dubious in their authenticity.

– Condor statement

Condor says it is working hard to improve port turnaround and technical reliability.

Whilst we recognise that the reliability and punctuality of Condor Liberation has been below the standards which our customers and we expect, the latest data shows a steadily improving picture.Condor Liberation has now operated 92% of her permitted sailings since coming into service, twothirds of which have been early or on time. Setting aside the berthing incident, there has only been one cancellation within permitted operating limits (caused by a faulty bow thruster).
