More work needed on Guernsey's runway

More work will have to be carried out at Guernsey Airport next year to fix a number defects, despite an £80 million redevelopment of the airfield.

The work is likely to take place in the spring and won't cost any extra as its covered by the existing contract with construction firm Lagan.

The airport says it won't impact on passengers, but they will be getting in touch with neighbours in the new few months.

Some of the work will almost certainly be done at night. But once we've got some more details we will be writing to the neighbours to let them know how that can be accommodated and when it will be done. At the moment we are just planning that and waiting to hear back from Lagan.
