A world first for Jersey oyster farmers

It has been a remarkable year for growth out on Jersey's oyster beds thanks to the mild weather.

While business is booming, so are farmer's standards.

Jersey's oyster farmers have become the first in the world to gain approval from the Aquaculture Stewardship Council.

The independent body assesses businesses, like the companies here, to make sure they are sustainable, both environmentally and for staff.
