Unions to meet with States Employment Board for mediation talks
Aims to break the deadlock in Jersey's public sector pay dispute could take a big step forward today.
Members of the Unite Union and Prospect, will be having mediation talks with the States Employment Board to try and resolve the ongoing pay dispute.
The States of Jersey had previously said there is no more money for civil servants.
However the unions have said the 6% to 7% pay rise over the next two years did not take into account the years of below-inflation pay settlements.
It follows a series of marches by nurses and teachers on Saturday over disputes with their pay too.
