Driverless buses could be trialled on roads of Alderney

Alderney could become a test-track for buses without drivers.

A Guernsey-based business announced last year they were looking into the feasibility of driverless technology in the Bailiwick.

The director has now visited Alderney after being invited by the Chamber of Commerce to visit the island as a trial patch.

Alderney has been considered due to its wide and quiet roads, with fewer roundabouts and obstacles.

If successful, the driverless technology will be launched both in Alderney and Guernsey, to carry passengers around the islands.
