Jersey gymnast, Alex Buesnel has won his tenth consecutive title at the British Disability Gymnastics Championships.

The 24 year old first won the title in 2008, and has impressed the judges every year since - retaining the gold medal position for a decade.

This year's competition was held at Lilleshall in Shropshire. Buesnel scored 12.4 for his floor routine, 10.95 on the parallel bars, 11.15 on the vault, 10.85 on the pommel horse, 10.9 on the horizontal bar.

Alex trains 17 hours a week with the mainstream Jersey squad and the Jersey Special Gymnastics Club.

As well as his British titles, Alex has won gold medals at the Special Olympics, World and European Games and this summer he became the first Channel Island athlete with a disability to win a silver medal at the Nat west Island Games.
