Speed limits reduced in a Jersey parish
A number of roads in St Brelade will have their speed limits reduced to 20 mph.
Minister for Infrastructure, Deputy Eddie Noel has agreed to the speed limit changes proposed by the parish.
Earlier this year, it was agreed that all parishes in Jersey would review their speed limits as part of an island-wide Road Safety Action Plan.
The St Brelade Roads Committee have been assessing all speed limits in St Brelade over the past 12 months, on both States and Parish administered roads.
Roads including Le Chemin de Noirmont, Le Chemin du Portelet, St Sampson's Avenue, Le Mont du Ouaisne and around Maudelaine Estate will see speed limits of 20 mph put into place.
There is currently no time limit on how quickly the changes will come into effect but Deputy Eddie Noel has asked for the Law to be changed accordingly.
