Guernsey head of cricket Ash Wright has named his 14-man squad for World Cricket League Division 5 in South Africa this September.

Matt Breban, Dec Martel, and Ben Fitchet are in line to make their first appearances in WCL, while Leicestershire professional Will Fazakerley, who made his first-class debut this month, and Tom Nightingale return after missing the last ICC tournament in Jersey in 2016.

Guernsey captain Jamie Nussbaumer says his team are at "a really good point" having twice beaten Denmark in 50-over contests earlier this month.

Guernsey, who retained their place in Division 5 in 2016, will be joined by rivals Jersey, Italy, Vanuatu, Cayman Islands, Ghana, Qatar, and Germany at the tournament in Benoni, just outside Johannesburg.

Guernsey host Jersey in the inter-insular on 26 August before travelling to South Africa for the week-long event which starts on 3 September.
