Plans for wind farm south of Jersey waters

Plans to build a wind farm, which will reach up to the outer limits of Jersey's waters, are being presented to islanders.

The French government has already given the go ahead to the development, off the coast of St Brieuc, Brittany.

Local people are being asked for their views on the plans, which would see wind turbines built just south of the limit of Jersey waters.

The States will also give their opinion to French officials, when they visit the island in September.

Developers, Ailes Marines, will present their plans at a public meeting a Fort Regent on 6th September.

They are also setting up an exhibition at the Fort, from 18th August until 29th September.
