Guernsey disability discrimination laws delayed
Laws to stop discrimination against disabled people in Guernsey have been delayed.
A detailed plan of legislation was meant to be presented to the States in December, but now that won't happen.
A report has blamed 'insufficient staff' with 'appropriate skills' for the delay in policy changes.
It's all part of the Disability Strategy to improve quality of life for disabled islanders, which was agreed upon two years ago.
However the report, commissioned by the States, says progress is slow.
Disability campaigners are disappointed with the delays.
They fear that providing more staffing and resources will slow the plans down even more.
