The 'weather bomb' - The story

The second of the American termed 'weather bombs' is passing across Wales and central England today (the first moved to the north of Scotland yesterday).

The 'bomb', (which is actually a rapidly deepening area of low pressure), will bring wet and windy conditions to the UK later today (Thursday), whilst for the Channel Islands, although we will see some changes, it will not be anything too sinister, and the conditions will be worse during the hours of darkness.

Boat owners are being reminded to check on their vessels and ensure that they are firmly secure and sufficiently bailed out, before the gale reaches the island later today.
