Derby libraries volunteer shake-up dubbed 'immoral'
Do you value your local library enough to step in and run it for free? Well that is what's being asked of residents across Derby as the city council tries to save £700,000 a year.
The controversial plans mean more than 40 library staff will lose their jobs, and volunteers will take their place. But those opposed to it say it's unworkable, with one union even describing the shake-up as immoral. Chris Halpin reports.
