Adam Murray has resigned as Mansfield Town manager after two years in charge.

The Stags lie 18th in League Two with just one win in 11 games. They lost 4-0 at Portsmouth on Saturday. The club said the decision to part ways was taken with a heavy heart.

In a statement Adam Murray said: “I have been with the club for over 14 years and having discussed it with my management team we have decided that it is time for a change.

"We are immensely proud of what we have achieved, moving both the club forward and achieving its highest league position in over ten years."
