Body found in park in Stoke on Trent

Forensic officers are investigating after the body of a man was found in a park in Stoke on Trent.

Police officers were called to the old bowling green in Hanley Park around 7.20am. Paramedics were called but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Staffordshire Police are currently not considering the death to be suspicious and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.

Police are asking for anyone who was around the canal towpath and the bowling green area of Hanley park at around 7pm last night to get in touch.
