The Crown Prosecution Service is due to release a report today into its inquiry over the way it handled previous cases involving Greville Janner over child sex offences.

The CPS has asked retired High Court judge, Sir Richard Henriques to conduct a review of its handling of all Lord Janner cases.

The cases relate to complaints made back in 1991, 2002 and 2007 involving the CPS and Leicestershire Police.

Lord Janner died last month, aged 87, after a long battle with dementia.

He was the MP for Leicester West for 27 years. He stood down at the 1997 election.

His family insist he is innocent of any wrongdoing.
