A1 northbound near Tickencote closed

Leicestershire police have said that the A1 northbound is closed due to a serious collision at Tickencote.

Delays can also also be expected going southbound despite the carriageway remaining open.

The A1 northbound between the A606 near Stamford and the B1081 near Great Casterton is the area affected.

Police are currently at the scene and a diversion is in place.

Traffic is directed off the A1 at Stamford and should follow the black circle symbol on local road signs. This will traffic via the A606 westbound-northbound to Melton Mowbray. Continue via the one-way system to remain on the A606. At the junction with the A606/A607/A6006 turn right on to the A607 and stay on this road eastbound-northbound to the A1 at Grantham.
