National child abuse inquiry to meet Nottingham victim support group
Representatives from the national inquiry into historical child abuse are to meet with a victim support group in Nottingham.
Next week, members of the Goddard inquiry will meet campaigners to discuss how the voices of victims might be heard in the future.
Police are currently investigating claims of abuse at children's care homes in Nottinghamshire dating back to the 1940s.
David Hollas from the Nottinghamshire Child Sexual Abuse Inquiry Action Group hopes the meeting will start to establish what actually happened:
Campaigners complained earlier this year over the lack of a full independent public inquiry into the alleged historic abuse in Nottinghamshire.
They claimed that Police and Council bosses were conducting an internal review without the full involvement of survivors.
