Birmingham New Street's grand opening
The new station at Birmingham New Street opens today after a building project that lasted five years, and together with the Grand Central shopping complex, cost around £750million to build.
Warning: ticket barriers in operation at New Street station
Network Rail are warning commuters to retain their tickets and have them ready as electronic barriers are now in place at New Street station.
It's the first time commuters are using the station since its new layout was officially revealed yesterday.
