Explosion leaves four people in hospital with burns injuries

Four people have been taken to hospital to be treated for burns after an explosion at a garage in Birmingham.

Emergency services were called to a fuel station on Spring Hill in Ladywood at around 11am this morning where there had been a heater fire believed to be within the shop area or the garage.

One man was treated for burns to his hands and face, a woman was treated for superficial burns to her arm and two further men were treated for superficial facial burns.
