Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to after a teenager was robbed at knifepoint on a bus in Birmingham.
A 16-year-old boy was travelling on the 28 bus along Hawthorn Road in Kingstanding on the afternoon of 23 August earlier this year.
A man pointed a knife at the boys leg before telling him to hand over his phone.
The man is described as white, aged around 25, 5ft 7ins tall, of a large build with ginger stubble. He was wearing a baseball cap, black Adidas tracksuit bottoms, black hooded jacket and red and black Nike trainers.
"We would like to reassure parents that this is an isolated robbery, rather than part of a wider issue of youths being threatened in this way.
Thankfully, the teen was not injured in anyway but understandably he has been left shaken by what happened.
We are taking this matter extremely seriously and we have been carrying out numerous inquiries since the robbery, which happened at around 3.45pm on 23 August 2014.
