Leicestershire Council may cut library opening hours

Plans to save money at Leicestershire's libraries by reducing opening hours will be considered by the county council later.

Proposals to reduce opening hours at 16 major libraries by 20 per cent will be discussed by councillors, before recommendations are made in November.

The council says the move would save £800,000.
