Princess Diana's last written letter goes to auction
The last official letter written by Princess Diana weeks before her death will go on auction in Birmingham.
The hand signed note written on Kensington Palace headed paper was dated August 11, 1997 and sent to humanitarian campaigner Dilys Cheetham.
In it, Diana thanks Ms Cheetham for delivering aid to refugee camps in Bosnia from where she had just returned on a visit.
"There was not enough time for me to visit the Mostar area while I was in Bosnia but I was able to visit a number of anti-personnel landmine victims and their families,” Diana wrote.
"I could not help but be deeply moved by the experience."
The letter is expected to fetch £3,000 when it goes on auction at Jewellery Quarter based Fellows Auctioneers on Monday.
