The former Philpott family home on Victory Road in Derby is being cleared, ahead of it being demolished. Its former tenants, Mick and Mairead Philpott, were jailed for the manslaughter of their six children in a fire there, last year.
Rebecca Jewell, a scientist who specialises in fire investigations, has today told the jury that a pair of sandals and leggings belonging to Mairead Philpott were found to have petrol additive present.
The court has also heard that levels of Total additive were present on jeans, a jumper and shoes belonging to Paul Mosley.
