Andrea Leadsom officially launches Tory leadership bid

South Northamptonshire MP Andrea Leadsom has announced that she is to stand for the Conservative Party leadership.

There had been speculation that the 53-year-old would back Boris Johnson instead, but she has now decided to go for the top job herself.

Leadsom is among the bookies' favourites to take over from David Cameron and is currently the 10/1 fourth favourite.
