2000 homes without power in East Midlands
2223 homes across the East Midlands are without power at the moment after snow showers hit much of the region last night.
The Met office has issued a yellow warning for ice across the East Midlands today as temperatures struggle to get above freezing.

Fallen tree cause train delays
Trains are now running again between Nottingham and Chesterfield after long delays this morning because of fallen trees on the line at Alfreton.
Passengers are being advised to check for any delays or cancellations before they travel after snow hit the East Midlands last night.
Yellow warning for ice across Midlands
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice across the Midlands. The areas affected are likely to be:
Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland, Derby, Lincolnshire, Nottingham & Nottinghamshire.
Herefordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Telford and Wrekin, Warwickshire, West Midlands Conurbation & Stoke-on-Trent.
East Midlands Airport "back to normal" after snow
Workers at East Midlands Airport were clearing snow from the runway for most of the night to make sure that flights were able to operate as normal from the Castle Donington site today.
It comes after parts of the East Midlands were covered in a blanket of heavy snow on Boxing Day evening.
An airport spokesperson said: "A small number of flights may be subject to minor delays as a result of the snow and weather conditions which occurred yesterday...Some ground transport does however remain effected by the weather and all those travelling to the airport are advised to allow extra time to make their journey."
